I work as a postdoctoral researcher at Artificial Intelligence Lab. Recod.ai of the Institute of Computing (IC) at University of Campinas (UNICAMP) since end of 2019 [2, 3].

For a great part of 2019, I have been in a short-time postdoctoral research at Politecnico di Milano (Polimi) in Italy investigating forensic problems in the context of open-set scenarios [4, 10].

I have obtained the M.Sc. [16] as well as Ph.D. degree [15] through UNICAMP in Brazil — with a 1-year internship at University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) — investigating recognition in open-set scenarios [1, 5, 7, 18, 19].

Through Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP) I had obtained the bachelor’s degree in Computer Science [17]. During the bachelors, I had worked mainly with digital image processing in the specific problem of vehicle license plate location [13, 14] and I concluded my education studying the Haskell functional programming language for image processing [17].

As extra work, I have some collaborations — also in machine learning — in medical problems [8, 9, 20], estimation of geolocation through images [11, 12], and on the development of a framework for machine learning experiments [6].
